People seek therapy or counselling for a wide variety of reasons. They may have a specific problem, such as depression or anxiety. It might be that they are experiencing a crisis in their relationship or at work. Or, it could be a more general feeling that something is just not quite right within themselves and their lives. The linking factor is that most people find themselves seeking therapy or counselling when what they are struggling with causes them emotional or psychological pain.

Gaining a better insight into our struggles and conflicts is helpful, because it is only when we understand why we repeat patterns in how we think, feel, and relate to others, that we can begin to be able to make constructive changes.
